Day 21: Driving from Buffalo to Illinois

We left for our journey back to Illinois, it felt quite strange to be leaving our home away from home but the real world was calling and we had to return. The car trip itself was unremarkable except for the directions, almost the entire 622 mile trip was on the I90!

Of course the speed of the car took us a while to get used to, after all it was to take us 11 hours to retrace the journey that had taken us practically three weeks!

Finally we passed through Chicago and we were able to reflect on the trip and the way that we had achieved our goal of sailing from Milwuakee to Buffalo.
